Dark Horse Station was established in the Fall of 1994.
Since then, it has been our pleasure to breed a few Connemaras every other year.
Our focus has centered on quality rather than quantity. Each match made is
the result of many hours spent pouring over lineages and family traits.
Needless to say, we have made our breeding decisions with care.
Often this has meant we have had to save a little extra to make that right match.

In 2001 we were blessed with the addition of *Glenormiston Cuchulainn. We owe much thanks to
Sue Clarke, his breeder, and Mary Prewitt, of Wildwych Connemaras, for making the dream of owning
a son of Domo Cavallo Praize a reality. Cuchulainn continues to amaze us in passing his incredible
movement and solid correct frame to his get, even to his grandfoals.

It is our strong desire to place our ponies in homes where they will be a joy to their owners.
Our ponies have distinguished themselves in breed shows, the hunter ring, the dressage arena, combined training
and in breeding programs

The bloodlines represented in our ponies include some of the most accomplished lines internationally
(Domo Cavallo Praize, Cuchulainn's sire is a legend himself). Our homebred mare, Dark Horse Semper Fi,
by the famed eventer, Hideaway's Erin Go Bragh, carries a wealth of genes in her combination of Irish, Danish,
Australian, and American lines. Her son, by Cuchulainn is aptly named, Dark Horse Laus Deo (aka "Praises")
with recognition to his grandsire Praize but more notably to the Lord Jesus himself,
whom we strive to honor in our daily endeavors.
